ABOUT US ...

The story of La Linda began thirty years ago, when our family came to Punta del Este …

We spent most of the holidays there, certainly collecting the best of our childhood memories.

While the house was being built, we rented a little place in Manantiales. This is where we fell in love with the region and twenty years later, decided to start a family business that began operating in the 2010-2011 season.

We started off with a simple idea:  To unite family, friends, and anyone who would enjoy the delicious food that has been prepared for decades at home, starting with our grandmother Mimi. Her empanadas and milanesas are still a favourite to all those who have tried her dishes.

Another important objective was to restore the traditional bread from the Rio de la Plata, such as the cremonas, pan de campo and medialunas. For months we toured the oldest bakeries in Uruguay and Argentina, learning about the origin and history of each loaf, and falling in love with the craft.

Welcome to the best bakery in Uruguay …
